03/08/2017 · Using PS3 apps like Pluto TV, Red Bull TV bring free live TV choices in 2017. So I’ve been giving tips this week to a friend who started using a PlayStation 3 for live streaming TV. His Comcast bill just hit $200 per month. He had to do something about it. And he didn’t want to miss out on any Red Sox games. He needed some help fast. Pluto has a free app for the PS3, so I installed it Sunday night. Now it is up and running. However, I have problems. The Pluto app crashes. I'll be watching a program and every so often--typically within 20 minutes--the app spontaneously closes and returns me to the PS3 "home" screen. Granted it won't replace your current cable TV provider but it's a decent option for those who might not have cable and or are bored to death with Netflix.
